3. Product Introduction
D02 radio is a data link transmission equipment. The ground terminal data can be sent to the airborne terminal through the digital transmission signal, and the point-to-point, relay station, point-to-multiple and other methods can be used for direct communication. It is mainly used to solve the can transmit remote control signal and data transmission signal simultaneously. It has the characteristics of small size, good integration and high sensitivity. D02 operates in the 902-928MHZ frequency band, max communication distance can reach 50KM.

D02 data link logo description
① data transmission indicator
When the XD light is on, it means the receiver has received data;when the TXD light is on, it means the receiver has sent data.
② signal intensity
Indicator S1 S2 S3 is a signal strength indicator. S1&S2&S3 ON, it means strong signal; S2&S3 ON, it means moderate signal; S3 ON, it means weak signal.

The ground terminal is a dual USB interface, which supports power supply or data connection interface. The DC 5V interface only has power supply function, and is mainly used for computers with USB2.0 current of 500ma.

Module usage steps
After the connection at both ends is completed, please refer to the following steps to check the status.(This step will have some differences due to different flight controllers)
1. Use USB type-c to connect the USB interface of the ground end to the computer, and the driver will be automatically installed when there is a net work for the first time;
1. Open the device manager of the computer, you can see that the ground end is correctly identified, the driver is installed correctly, and there is no yellow exclamation.
2. Open the flight controller ground station software, select the corresponding COM port, and connect to the flight controller. The normal connection of the flight controller means that the data transmission link of the D02 module has been connected. If the connection fails, please check the following points.
①Check whether the baud rate of the flight controller is consistent with the baud rate of the D02 air terminal.
② Make sure that the serial port connection of D02 ground terminal is normal.
③ When you use the D02 parameter setting software, make sure the network address of air end and ground end are the same.
④ Make sure that the RX of the flight controller corresponds to the TX of D02
3. The default factory baud rate of D02 module is 115200,address:555 if you need to change it, please refer to the software configuration chapter.

After power-on the airborne end and ground terminal, the indicator status is like the below, it means 2 modules have connected normally.
Software configuration installation process
1. Download D02.exe;
2. Click D02.exe and follow the prompts to install;
3. Run D02.exe;
Software configuration introduction
1. The D02 software provides two options for entering configuration mode:
(1) Force Mode : use the configuration key to enter the configuration mode.
How to use:Press and hold the configuration button and power on D02,the default baud rate is 9600,click to connect.
(2) Jump Mode : jump from data mode to configuration mode without using configuration buttons.
Directly power on, select the baud rate in the transparent transmission data mode, click connect, the module will jump directly from the data mode to configuration mode, and then configure the parameters.
2. the key is used to generate a random address, is used to lock the generated network address.
3. the key is used to write new configuration parameters to the module.
4. the key provides advanced configuration functions, non-professionals should use it with caution, and the password is ”chinowing”
5. Network address : The ID code uniquely identifying the paired connection, the network addresses of the air end and the ground end must be consistent.
6. Working mode:master(主)、slave(从)、Repeater(中继)3 modes。
7. Baud rate (left) : The baud rate is the transparent data transmission rate, which must be consistent with the baud rate of the connected device.
8. Airspeed:the maximum rate of data transmission, the default is 172800.
9. Output power:the power supports 0.1W – 1W selection, the higher the power, the longer the transmission distance.
10. Menu bar → D02 → Language → Chinese and English language switching function.
11. Menu bar → tools → AT command window interface, providing AT command operation for professionals.
12. Menu bar→ Help →Version information about D02 configuration software.
Point to point mode configuration method
Point to point communication requires at least two modules,respectively master-slave mode
Master mode setting:
1. Power on and connect to the computer
2. Select the corresponding com port and connection method, click connect, if the corresponding parameters are displayed on the left, it means that the module has successfully entered the configuration mode.
3. Select Master mode as the working mode, select the baud rate you need, and the default airspeed, and the output power can be selected from 0.1W -1W. The higher the power, the longer the transmission distance.
4. After the parameter settings are completed, click Set, and the message bar below will prompt you to write the configuration parameters.
From schema settings:
1. power on and connect to the computer
2. Select the corresponding com port and connection method, click connect. If the corresponding parameters are displayed on the left, it means that the module has successfully entered the configuration mode.
3. Select slave mode as the working mode, and the default airspeed is enough. The output power can be selected from 0.1W-1W. The higher the power, the farther the transmission distance will be.
4. After the parameter setting is complete and click, the message bar below will prompt the parameters just written into the configuration.
Repeater mode configuration method
Repeater mode communication requires at least 3 modules, master, slave and repeater mode.
Select the main mode of the ground module, set the corresponding baud rate and power, and click Set
Click ALL to enter the password “ chinowing ” and configure the parameters as follows in the advanced settings. Other default parameters remain unchanged. After setting, click” save all”
Select the slave mode for the airborne unit module, set the corresponding baud rate and power, and click set.
Click ALL and enter the password “ chinowing ” configure the parameters as follows in the advanced settings. Other default parameters remain unchanged. After setting, click” Save ALL”
Select the repeater mode on the repeater, set the corresponding baud rate and power, and click set.
Click ALL and enter the password“chinowing” in advanced settings configure the parameters as follows , other default parameters remain
unchanged. After setting, click” save all”
Test : After modifying the repeater mode, the signal indicator light of the repeater mode is different from that of the point-to-point one. The master shows the signal strength of the repeater, and the signal strength of the slave also shows the signal strength of the repeater.
Dual repeater mode configuration method
Dual repeater mode communication requires at least 4 modules, respectively master-slave mode and 2 repeater modes.
