The products used in today’s video include:

  • SIYI ZT30 gimbal pod
  • SIYI RC7 remote controller
  • TATTU 16000mAh battery

The cables used include:

  • XT60 to JST and XT30 connectors
  • ZT30 power cable
  • RC7 receiver power cable
  • ZT30 signal transmission cable
How to connect the wiring?

Connect the ZT30 signal port to the LAN port on RC7

ZT30 connector: GH1.25 9pin

RC7 LAN connector: GH1.25 8pin

Connect the adapter to the battery, then connect the RC7 receiver power cable to the adapter to supply power to the receiver

Receiver power port connector: XT30

Other end connector: JST 2.45mm 2p

Use the ZT30 power cable to supply power to the ZT30

ZT30 connector: SH1.25 4pin

Other end: XT30

How to operate and display?

Open UniGCS on the remote controller. After entering, click the top-right corner. The ground station will automatically detect the gimbal as ZT30. You can select addresses for Camera A and Camera B, for example, thermal and visible light.

In the flight interface:

Click the bottom-right corner to switch screens

In the top-right menu, you can click photo and video recording, and see the recording time

Long press the screen for 2 seconds to control camera movement

One-touch rotation shortcut icons:

Return to center: pitch and yaw return to center

Yaw center + pitch down: yaw returns to center, pitch down 90° (up 90° when inverted)

Yaw center: pitch unchanged, yaw returns to center

Pitch down: yaw unchanged, pitch down 90° (up 90° when inverted)

Click the zoom icon on the right to control ZT30 zoom. The ZT30 zoom lens supports 30x optical zoom and 180x hybrid zoom.

Multi-camera view modes:

Single view (zoom camera): main window displays only zoom camera

Single view (wide-angle camera): main window displays only wide-angle camera

Single view (thermal camera): main window displays only thermal camera

Split view (zoom + thermal): left side shows zoom camera, right side shows thermal camera

Split view (wide-angle + thermal): left side shows wide-angle camera, right side shows thermal camera

Split view (zoom + wide-angle): left side shows zoom camera, right side shows wide-angle camera

Thermal imaging features:

Supports global, point, and area temperature measurement

Select any area on the screen, and the system will automatically mark the highest and lowest temperatures in the area and display corresponding temperature data

Thermal imaging supports assigning different color schemes for high and low temperature regions, making it easier to visually interpret thermal data in different scenarios.

Laser rangefinder:

The ZT30 four-sensor gimbal pod is equipped with a high-precision laser rangefinder, supporting measurement in the 5–1200 meter range

This concludes the tutorial on connecting the SIYI ZT30 gimbal pod to the SIYI RC7 remote controller.
